Our Veterinarians

Dr. Bishop graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1990. She completed her International Veterinary Acupuncture Society accreditation in 1996 and Chinese Herbal Medicine course in 2000. Dr. Bishop is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, the Nova Scotia Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Canadian Veterinary Acupuncturists, the American Holistic Medical Association and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Dr. Bishop is also a subscriber to the Veterinary Information Network. In 2005, Dr.Bishop completed The Animal Rehabilitation Institute program in Canine rehabilitation.

Dr. Bishop's furry family consists of three cats (Madhvi 13 yr, Goliath 5yr, Elijah 1 yr) as well as one dog Poppet, age unknown. Dr. Bishop sings with an acappella choir, enjoys gardening and travel.

Dr. Barkai-Ronayne graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, Slovakia with her DVM in 1997 and took her MSc in Wild animal Health at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England and the Zoological Society, also in London. In 2006, she completed her Canine Rehabilitation Certificate program at the University of Tennessee. Since becoming a resident of Canada, Dr. Barkai-Ronayne has worked at various clinics including emergency and mixed practices in Ontario, Nova Scotia and North Carolina.

Dr. Adva enjoyed four years at the Truro Veterinary Hospital however she had a deep desire to work closer to home and with an interest in alternative medicine and canine rehab decided to join the Full Circle team in 2009. Her husband Jude, son Ben and twins Max and Ella, along with family cat Victor are very happy to have her closer to home and support her career choice.
